Ranked Mode Is Coming To Deadlock

Sat Oct 12 2024

New Ranked Mode Launches with Experimental Structure

Ranked mode will debut on October 15th, aiming to enhance match quality by concentrating players within specific time windows: 1 PM–4 PM and 7 PM–10 PM daily. Participation requires 50 games played, and players with behavior-related restrictions (e.g., voice/text bans) won’t be able to queue. Initially, the queue will be solo-only, and players can select from multiple time zones in their region to match their schedule (changeable once per week).

Players will be assigned the server with the best ping for their matches. Each game will feature players with the same medal, which represents their rank. There are 11 medals, each with 6 levels, and all medals will be displayed in ranked games.

Medals update every Tuesday at 8 PM GMT, based on a weekly performance analysis of all games and opponents faced. To receive a medal, players must complete at least 7 games that week. If the quota isn’t met, their rank will be marked as undefined until they play enough to qualify the following week.

The first ranked queue opens on October 15th, with the first medals granted on October 22nd. A history panel will track players' previous medals, allowing them to monitor their progress over time.
